Recruit top talent - students and new graduates
If you are an organization looking for ambitious, career-minded interns, summer students, or new graduates there is no better place to broadcast your message. Please click here for more information on our opportunities for employers and organizations.
We believe that the school-to-work transition is difficult and messy for students and new graduates. Attracting and hiring students and new graduates is also difficult and messy for employers, who often travel across the country to attract top students. TalentEgg was created to provide access to meaningful opportunities for students and new graduates, coast to coast, and to provide an efficient way for employers and organizations to reach students who increasingly use the web to research their careers.
TalentEgg was founded by Lauren Friese. We're a small, passionate team and from our office in Toronto ("The Egg Carton"), we're working hard to provide students and new graduates with amazing career-planning resources and access to meaningful, career-launching opportunities, like internships, summer jobs, and entry level jobs. We're also working hard to provide organizations with an efficient and cost-effective way to reach Generation Y.
Lauren is the founder of TalentEgg. After graduating from Queen's University and receiving her Masters from the London School of Economics, Lauren entered the workforce. She landed her first ‘real’ job shortly after, but thought there had to be a better way to transition from school to work. The idea was born and TalentEgg hatched!
As demonstrated through TalentEgg’s accomplishments, Lauren is passionate about Gen Y recruitment and online media.
Known for over-using egg puns in everyday conversation, Lauren lives, eats, and breathes all things TalentEgg. (Common office myth suggests she may even sleep in the Egg Carton from time to time.)
Steph is responsible for managing client growth and acquisition while overseeing the sales team.
She studied psychology at the University of Ottawa and, "mastering" human behaviour, she was able to parlay her education into the world of sales.
Steph spent many years in the automotive industry learning all facets of the sales process and successfully moving her way up into management. After spending time as a business analyst, she was ready to step into the Egg Carton and hit the ground running!
Cassandra manages content production for the Career Incubator and TalentEgg's off-site media partnerships with Metro News and The Globe and Mail. She originally joined the team as a student intern in the summer of 2008, and since then her heart has never really left the Egg Carton.
Cassandra is a recent graduate of the Ryerson University School of Journalism, where she earned a Bachelor of Journalism with a focus in writing and editing for newspapers. She has also written and edited for The Globe and Mail, The National Post, Metro, t.o.night newspaper and other publications.
Amanda is a recent addition to the Egg Carton and she is working alongside the rest of the team to ensure that TalentEgg's clients are well taken care of and that all of their campaigns run smoothly!
Amanda studied at Loyalist College with a diploma in Radio Broadcasting and a post-graduate diploma in Public Relations majoring in Event Management.
Kate is one of TalentEgg’s summer interns. She currently studies business administration at Acadia University and has a keen interest in the creative side of business.
As a Nova Scotia student, Kate brings a unique East Coast perspective to the Egg Carton and is passionate about increasing TalentEgg's presence across Canada (but especially in the Maritimes!).
Outside of work, Kate enjoys running, travelling and re-reading Harry Potter.
Alanna is one of TalentEgg’s summer interns. She has completed two years of her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario in the Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT) program.
Outside of the office, Alanna is a Food Network junkie and a lover of all things media. She is egg-cited about the opportunities at TalentEgg for further exploration in the media field.
